Monash Council rates to increase dramaticly

changes to the way Monash calculate council rates for 2010/2011 will see a dramatic increase in rates for commercial & industrial properties as they move from SV (site value) to CIV (capital inproved value) and apply a 1.25 times loading.

examples provided by Monash could see some rates increase by over 100%.
